Revelation 12:15-17

15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

To recap…The flood of the end times are the lies that are being spread in the churches today, and the lies Satan will be using when he is here as Antichrist to deceive the WHOLE world.

Revelation 12:9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.“

Who did it say was cast out??? The great dragon, that old serpent, the devil, SATAN, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD. Satan is the antichrist! “Anti” in the Greek means instead of, and therefore Satan is coming in place of, or instead of Christ. The antichrist will not be a man born of woman. God made sure that many of Satan’s names were used in this verse so there would be no confusion as to who the antichrist is. One of Satan’s lies is that a man will be the antichrist, and that he is already here today, but there is no scripture that says that. It’s simply a false teaching that has been taught by many preachers today.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

That man of sin, the son of perdition is Satan himself. Perdition (G684 apóleia http://biblehub.com/greek/684.htm)  means that he will lose his eternal life, and there has only been one person in the bible that is a son of perdition and is destined to perish, that is Satan. Satan has already been judged and is sentenced to death. Satan will NEVER be born of woman, and is a supernatural being, an angel whose description is in Ezekiel 28.

Ezekiel 28:12-18

12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

Just in case that is not evidence enough that Satan is the antichrist, let’s look at one of his other names, Lucifer in Isaiah 14.

Isaiah 14:12-16

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

In these verses Satan is saying that he will be God, but God is letting him know that for doing this he will be going into the pit!

So 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 is where Paul is telling you that Satan will be here first, pretending to be Christ before the TRUE Christ returns.

Now let’s get back to where we left off in part 1.

Matthew 24:29-31

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Notice how it says in these verses that Christ will return IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION. This is Jesus Christ himself telling the apostles that He will return after the tribulation of Satan. There are 2 tribulations. The tribulation of deception where Satan is here pretending to be Christ, and then the tribulation where Christ returns and pours out His wrath.

So let’s focus now on the rapture. The word rapture is no where in the bible, and Christ doesn’t mention at all that He will come to secretly take the church away while Satan is here.

So what does rapture mean? Below are some definitions, and it doesn’t sound like anything our Father would take part in!

The word ‘rapture’ itself is from the Latin raptus, and it connotes either apocalyptic spiritual overtones or possessive and physical undertones. The origin of rapture dates to the late 16th century, (directly or via French rapere) from Medieval Latin raptura “seizure,” from the Latin cognate raptus, meaning, “seized and taken, kidnapped by force, snatched hold of and then taken hostage, carried off or away.” In Medieval time, raptus was sometimes used to describe the euphoria soldiers experienced after defeating a foe in battle, then seizing the opponent, and taking him away as captive. Greek raptus virginum Sabinarum is a reference to the Sabine virgins, who were raped and abducted.

There is a literary connection between the words ‘rapture’ and ‘rape.’ To rape someone is to force somebody to have sex. Rape also implies the use of force to violate something, or to treat something in a violent, destructive, or abusive way (e.g. – Rape the land for its resources). During the brutal conquests of the 14th century, Anglo-Norman ‘rapers’ pillaged the land and people, and this term ‘raper’ meant to seize and carry off somebody or something by force (archaic). The word raper is directly from Latin rapere “to seize.”

Below is an outline on the word rapture and it’s meaning, the verses most use to describe the rapture, and the people who started this whole rapture theory:

RAPTUREI. Biblical usage of the word “rapture”

A. The Bible does not use the word “rapture”
1. Not found in Biblical concordance
2. Not found in Biblical dictionaries or encyclopedias
B. English word “rapture” derived from Latin word rapio (rapere, raptus)
1. Meaning: to carry away, to be caught up, to snatch, seize, pluck, drag away, carry off, abduct,               plunder, ravish, rape
2. English word “rape” derived from this Latin root
C. English usage of word “rapture”
1. General usage: “carried away with emotion, ecstasy, passion”
2. Theological usage: “caught up in clouds to meet the Lord”
a. Recent theological origin
(1) Emphasized in premillennial/dispensational theology since middle of nineteenth                          century
(2) Not found as definition in Webster’s Collegiate Dict.
b. Questionable choice of English word as equivalence for Biblical reference.
D. Singular Biblical passage that refers to being “caught up” at end time.
1. I Thess. 4:17 – “we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the               clouds to meet the Lord in the air…”
2. Greek word for “caught up” is harpazo – used 13 times in N.T.

b. translated “take by force” – Matt. 11:12; Jn. 6:15; Acts 23:10
c. translated “caught up”- II Cor. 12:2,4; I Thess 4:17; Rev. 12:5
3. Contextual interpretation of I Thess. 4:13-18
a. Not an attempt to outline sequential events of final times
b. Context of concern, consolation, condolence, comfort
c. Paul explains
(1) the hope (confident expectation) of the Christian
(2) the resurrection of the body of the Christian
(3) the equal opportunity of those who have died and those who remain
(4) those remaining alive are “caught up”
(5) the comfort that Christians have in these realities

II. “Rapture” in premillennial/dispensational eschatology and theology

A. The “catching up” of believers, the Church, was separated in time from the Second Coming of          Jesus Christ to earth in the teaching of the Plymouth Brethren of Britain, creating a two-phase          Second Coming of Christ.
1. Rapture – Jesus’ coming for His saints
2. Revelation – Jesus’ coming with His saints
B. Illustrations

C. History of this interpretation
1. Margaret MacDonald (1830) – personal prophecy in Glasgow
2. Edward Irving (1832) – Scottish charismatic preacher
3. John Nelson Darby – Irish lawyer and Plymouth Brethren leader

8. Hal Lindsey – Late, Great Planet Earth
9. Popular interpretation of fundamentalist evangelicals
D. Variant opinions of the time of “rapture” among premillennialists
1. Pre-tribulation rapture – church removed from tribulation
2. Mid-tribulation rapture – church removed prior to severe tribulation
3. Pre-wrath rapture – (variant of mid-tribulation rapture)
4. Post-tribulation rapture – church endures tribulation
5. Partial tribulation – faithful remnant of Christians removed at beginning of tribulation;               others removed later
E. Elements of “rapture” in pretribulation, premillennial dispensationalism
1. Two-phase second-coming
2. Imminence – any time, any moment, soon coming
3. Silent, secret, invisible disappearance of Christians

III. Concluding observations concerning the “rapture”

A. Affirming the reality of being “caught up with Christ” (I Thess. 4:17)
1. Semantic irrelevance of using the word “rapture”
2. Maintaining the hope of Christ’s return
B. Questioning the elements of pretribulational premillennial “rapture”
1. Inadequate basis for two-phase Second Coming
a. “caught up,” “meet,” descend” same time period
b. final judgment
2. Inadequate basis for imminence of expectation
a. His return is impending
b. His return will be sudden, unannounced
c. Christians are to be expectant, prepared, waiting and watching
3. Inadequate basis for secret rapture
a. His return will be public
b. His return will be visible
4. Inadequate basis for silent rapture
a. His return will be with shout
b. His return will be with trumpet
5. Improper claims of new revelation
C. Avoiding the effects of pretribulational premillennial “rapture”
1. divisiveness, intolerance, disunity
2. arrogance, pride, superiority, gnosticism
3. escapist mentality, avoidance, withdrawal
4. negative attitude toward society; disengaged
5. inadequate ecclesiology; ghetto mentality; church relegated to tossing out life-savers

Christ will return with His angels in the clouds at the 7th trumpet (see our breakdown of 1 Corinthians 15:50-52 in part one of this teaching https://thefourcarpenters.com/2015/06/29/flood-of-the-end-times-part-1/) and will gather His elect, that is, those who did not worship Satan when he was here pretending to be Christ because they were sealed with the seal of God rather than the mark of the beast, knowing that the true Christ returns at the 7th trump. Remember when Christ returns at the 7th trump you will no longer be in your flesh, corruptible bodies, you will be in your spiritual, incorruptible bodies.

The rapture doctrine is one of Satan’s number one lies that the church spews today, and many are so willing to follow because they don’t get into the word of God themselves. Hollywood has even promoted this doctrine, which should send up a big red flag to let you know that it is a false doctrine. If you believe in the rapture doctrine, you will be taken and swept away in the flood of lies, the flood of the end times. Many of the scriptures these false prophets teach in churches today are the exact scriptures God uses to tell the truth about the return of Christ, but due to the watered down versions of the bible, and the lack of studying of the church goer, most don’t even know what these verses really mean. Let’s look at 1 Thessalonians 4 for example.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

This is the first place most rapture believers go to when trying to prove that there is a rapture, but let’s see what Paul is really trying to say in these verses.

Paul started out this chapter telling the Thessalonians about sin, and how to live right. He then will go on in these verses telling them what happens to their body when they die. He doesn’t want them to be afraid of the unknown, and he doesn’t want them to be ignorant like the heathen. Those who sleep, are those who have already went to be with the Lord. The heathen do not believe this, and therefore have no hope, but we know the bible says in

2 Corinthians 5:8

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

If you’re a Christian, you know and believe that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and on the third day arose and came out of the tomb. If you do not believe this, Paul classifies you as ignorant, a heathen, that is, a non-believer.

When your flesh body passes, your spirit returns to the Father, it is not in a hole in the ground.

Ecclesiastes 12:6-7

6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

It is difficult to see how they made a “rapture theory” out of this, when the subject is, “where are the dead?”

So we see that when one dies, his soul goes immediately to be with our Heavenly Father. If you believe this, you are not heathen.

It only makes sense when looking at verse 16 that those who are already dead, asleep, would rise first. When they passed, their spirits returned to the Father, which is why they would rise first.

This will happen at the last trump, the 7th trump, and THEN Christ will return back to earth. We even have a timeline of events that will take place before this happens. Look at Revelation chapter 11 concerning the 2 witnesses.

We find out what events will occur just prior to this seventh trump sounding, and then when we see these certain events taking place before our eyes, we will know our Lord will return to earth next. Then the trump will sound, and the gathering will take place, and we will be changed from our flesh bodies to our spiritual bodies. And not one day before. Many people have images of massive numbers of people flying away, with all sorts of accidents taking place; however, the Bible doesn’t tell us it will be in that manner. In Revelation 11, it tells us exactly three and a half days prior what will happen, and the whole world will know about it, for it is no hidden mystery. That is when the Antichrist will end his reign by killing God’s two witnesses, and send the world into a three and a half day party of celebration.

Revelation 11:3-15

3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

The whole world will know these 2 witnesses as they have been speaking against Satan while he has been pretending to be Christ. They will be partying in the streets when Satan slays them, but they won’t be partying 3 1/2 days later when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ returns. They will be ashamed, and you will be too if you were looking to fly out of here in the rapture. Those who believe in this rapture doctrine have been given a strong delusion (2 Thes 2:11). They have decided to believe the lies that the false prophets have taught them in churches today, just like Christ warned us in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. They won’t be sealed with the seal of God in their forehead, and therefore they can and will be allowed to be taken by Satan and his lies.

Revelation 9:4-5

4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

(Remember Satan’s time has been shortened on earth to a 5 month period, not a 7 year period as we broke down in our first part of this teaching.)

So what about these clouds in verse 17 of 1 Thessalonians 4???? The “clouds” are in reference to a large gathering of people, as Paul used else where also. While the “air” spoken of here, in the Greek is “breath of life”; we will meet Jesus Christ in our “breath of life bodies, or spiritual bodies”. That is the mystery Paul spoke of in 1 Corinthians 15:50-54.

“Air” in the Greek dictionary is #109, and is the “breath of life”, your “breath of life” body is your soul or spiritual body. The very body that God breathed life into when He made a living soul (Genesis 2:7).

That plainly breaks down 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, and shows that it is not talking about a rapture at all, so now let’s go to a verse in the bible to show how angry it makes God when these false prophets are teaching this rapture, fly away doctrine.

Ezekiel 13:20

20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

God said, WAKE UP!!!! I am against your false doctrines, pillows, wherewith ye hunt the souls to make them fly. God is against it when you go out to teach the souls of men and women and tell they they are going to fly out of here in the rapture.

Remember in Matthew 24:13 where Jesus tells His disciples, “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” God wants His children to endure until the end. He doesn’t want a wimp that will be in a hurry to get out of here. He already promised to His children that not one hair on their head shall perish (Luke 21:18), so there’s nothing to worry about. God has always provided for His children through times of difficulty. He provided a way through the trials and tribulations. Moses, Noah, and Lot are perfect examples. Now let’s go back to Matthew 24.

Matthew 24:32-24

32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Christ told you to LEARN the parable of the fig tree, so it is very important that you do so. We have a deeper teaching on this specific study here: https://thefourcarpenters.com/2015/05/30/the-parable-of-the-fig-tree/ for those who are interested. In short, the fig tree generation started in 1948 when Israel became a nation (Jeremiah 24).

As we know biblically there are 3 generations. A 40 year generation, a 70 year generation, and a 120 year generation, so it makes sense that one of those generations is the time frame that Christ will return. We have already passed the 40 year generation, but the 70 and 120 year generations are still possible. Father has told us in this chapter and many others exactly what signs to watch for so that we would know the things that happen before Christ’s return. We have been given the season, the generation, and the events that will take place, even marking the last three and one half days. That being when the entire world celebrates the murdering of the two witnesses by the antichrist, Satan. When you see the one world order get set into place, and then Satan sitting in the Holy place saying that he is God, you know that the true Christ will be coming soon!

Matthew 24:37-39

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

So now here we are back to where we started…Noah & the flood. If you don’t understand the first flood, then the flood of the end times will be difficult to understand as well. The flood in Genesis was a physical flood, but the flood of the end times is a spiritual flood. If you are not prepared or sealed with God’s word, then you will be taken in Satan’s flood just as those who were eating, drinking, and marrying were taken by the physical flood in Noah’s day. The ark of the end days is not a physical ark, but a spiritual ark…it is the word of God that you need to be standing on. If you aren’t grounded in the true word, you will be swept away in the flood of Satan’s lies. These final days of this earth will be exactly as it was in the days that Noah was on the earth, just prior to his entering into the ark. In part one of this teaching we went over Genesis chapter 6, and Jude 1 to show you what was going on in those days. Fallen angels had left their habitation and came down to mate with women, thus creating hybrids, the nephilim, that is giants. These angels will be returning in the last days, with Satan when he is cast down, and their agenda is the same. That is why you are to keep a covering (Christ) over your head.

So what will people in this last generation be doing at this time? The exact same thing that took place in Noah’s day! If you think that seems far fetched, just look what is going on in the world today. All matter of evil is made good, the supreme court has now made gay marriage legal, they are promoting it in schools, on television, and pretty much everywhere you turn around. What is good is now considered evil, and what is evil is now considered good (Isaiah 5:20).

Churches are actually catering to this type of perversion now, and are calling it okay. The churches have taken on pagan practices and defile God’s true Holy days. Before Christ’s return the whole world will be accepting of these doctrines because they have been indoctrinated by the Kenite’s through their four hidden dynasties (political, economical, religion, education) to believe that there is nothing wrong with what they are doing. Most have been brainwashed since birth with these doctrines, and then continue to spoon feed it to their children, and so on…If you are not one of God’s elect, then when these fallen angels return to earth with Satan, you will follow everything they say and do because you think you are doing what is right.

Just before Jesus Christ returns to earth these angels will be working miracles, with their leader, Satan, and this is possible because they are supernatural, just like Satan is. They are not of flesh or human substance. What happened in Genesis 6 is going to happen again, so make a point of getting to know that chapter.

Just like in Noah’s time, the people of this last generation will be living it up. They are so oblivious to what is actually going on in the world because they are more concerned about pleasing themselves. Their jobs, cars, homes, friends, social life, television, sports, reality tv, video games, vacations, partying, ect. keep them too busy to focus on the word of God, and the signs God told us to watch for. They were too busy to heed the warning from their loved ones who wanted to make sure they weren’t deceived. They laughed and made fun of Noah for building an ark, and they will make fun of you when you try to warn them of the false Christ returning first. God told us in Ezekiel 33 to warn them though, so their blood would not be on our hands, if they decide not to heed the warning, it’s on their own hands.

During the reign of the Antichrist on earth, your family and friends, will think of you as some sort of nut that has lost mind. They will be so convinced that Satan is the true Christ, if it were possible they would kill you for him, but it will not be possible. Then the seventh trumpet shall sound, and the entire earth will see Christ coming in all His glory, with all the saints, and terror will streak through their minds, for they will see and know how they have been deceived.

Matthew 24:40-44

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

These are some more verses many use to confirm in their mind that there is a rapture. Those who teach that they want to be the first one taken do so in ignorance. The ones taken in the flood of Noah’s time were those who were not on the ark, and those taken in this last generation will be those taken by Satan’s lies. They won’t remain working in the field until the true Christ comes.

So what can you do to make sure you aren’t taken by Satan and his flood of lies? You need to be on watch. If you are on watch then you will see the 7 events Christ told you of in this very chapter of Matthew 24, so that you can recognize the season that He will return. Paul tells us about this in 1 Thessalonians 5.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-4

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Why would Christ come like a thief??? Because those worshiping the false Christ, Satan won’t be on watch since they believe Satan to be Christ. Those who have read and studied God’s word, and have not put their trust in man, but in God will know what His word says about the return of Christ, and won’t be taken like a thief in the night.

You will not know the instant, but you can know the hour. The hour Christ is talking about is the hour of temptation (Revelation 17:12). This is done by recognizing the antichrist at his arrival, and his army of fallen angels as well as knowing when the one world system totally comes into being. That one world system is the beast, and it will receive a deadly wound. That is when Satan and his angels will put it all back together.

Revelation 13:3-4

3 And I saw one of his heads (think of this as heads of government) as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

4 And they worshipped the dragon (Satan) which gave power unto the beast (the one world government): and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Why wouldn’t you be able to make war with him? Because it is a political system, a world political system, and it wouldn’t be possible to make war with a one world political system. Nor would anyone try. We already see something similar to this right now with the United Nations. Celebs, doctors, humanitarians, ect. do all kinds of things for the U.N. while the U.N. get’s all the praise. After all, they help out worldwide with medication, food, aid, protection, ect. This is very similar to what the one world government will be like!

God’s elect will escape from that hour of temptation, for they don’t find Satan and his system tempting to sell their soul for. They see right through his lies, and they find him to be an abomination!

Matthew 24:45-51

45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Those who continued working in the field, planting seeds, and working for God are those wise and faithful servants. The wise servant over the household of Christ, of the fellow Christians, is the one that gives the members of the body of Christ the meat of His word, and not milk. That is God’s word taught in full, and meat in due season, this season, the season of the parable of the fig tree, when these events will come to pass. Milk will not sustain a person physically or spiritually, but meat will. We know that in the last days, the famine in the land is for the word of God (Amos 8:11), so it is these servants of Christ who try to prevent the body of Christ from starving by teaching the TRUE, meat filled, word of God!

Christ is going to bless those who are still working in the field when He returns. Those who are found working will be those who teach and rule in the millennium. Ezekiel 39-48 go over exactly what will be going on during the millennium, and they are very important chapters to know and understand.

The last few verses of Matthew 24 are pertaining to those who would say things like, “Oh, we’ve been hearing about the end times for thousands of years, and nothing has happened.” They mock God, and continue to live their life pleasing themselves rather than God. They laugh at the ones who would warn them of what is actually going on in the world. They scoff at those who try to share truth with them. They say, “oh that’s just a conspiracy theory” when you try to point out what the Kenite’s are doing through their four hidden dynasties.

Jesus states right here in verse 51, what will happen to those who don’t take the warning of what is to come seriously. “And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites”, those Kenite’s, the scribes and Pharisees that also led God’s people into false doctrine, and ripped them off in Jesus’ day. Where they go, and what happens to them, is what will happen to you!!!

It will be so sad the day when Christ returns and sees those who said they were Christians, but they whored after Satan when he was here pretending to be Christ. They nursed along his doctrine and his deeds. They left their first husband. They did not remain spiritual virgins because they hopped right in bed with the antichrist. They will be so ashamed when Christ returns for what they have done.

You don’t have to be ashamed if you truly put God first, get into His word, so that you may have eyes to see and ears to hear. If you love Him, you will do this! That is all He wants, your love (Hosea 6:6). This teaching was to warn those who have already been “caught up” in the lies and false doctrines that are being preached at the pulpit today. If you study God’s word yourself, He can remove the blinders from your eyes so that you can see His truth. The peace of mind that comes with knowing His true word, and how He will protect you is much better than a sweet lie of flying away in a false rapture. If you are blessed enough to already know this truth, please make sure you are planting seeds with others. It’s not always a popular thing to talk about, but God can water that little seed, and you can watch it grow!

Due to the length and detail of this study, it will be in 2 parts:

Genesis 9:11-15 KJV

11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

flood end times

If you’ve turned on the news at all in the past few months you may have seen quite a bit of news pertaining to floods here in the U.S. Floods happen worldwide each year, and they have for thousands of years, but God promised He would never destroy the Earth with water again (Genesis 9:11-15). As devastating as these floods are, and as deadly as some may be, there is a bigger flood that is coming in the end times, and it will cause death to the spiritual body for those that get taken in it.

As we know in the bible there were two major floods. The katabole (Genesis 1:2, Jeremiah 4) and Noah’s flood (Genesis 5:32-10:1). We will be doing a deeper study on the katabole at a later date, but today were mainly going to focus on Noah’s flood because it relates to the flood of the end times.

Matthew 24:37-39 KJV

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

There were many evil things going on in Noah’s time, Genesis 6, and Jude 1 tell you exactly what was taking place, and why God told Noah to build an ark. The fallen angels came down to mate with daughters of men which is where the giants (nephilim/geber) came from.

Genesis 6:2-4 KJV

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Jude 1:4-6 KJV

4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

God was angered that this took place in the same way he was angered about the sin going on in Sodom and Gomorrah, and it is also compared to the flood of Noah and what will be taking place in the end times.

Luke 17:28-30 KJV

28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

So the earth in the days of Noah was full of people who rejected God and walked after their own flesh and served their own interests. And the earth was full of violence. And what about during Lot’s day in Sodom? God’s Word says that the people of Sodom had given themselves over to sexual fornication and ‘strange flesh’, which is homosexuality. So Jesus is saying that the world in the end times would ‘mirror’ what it was like in the days of Noah and Lot. Do we have a world like that today? Absolutely!

Not only do we live in a world full of violence and sexual immorality, including homosexuality. These things have become the ‘norm’ with violence and sexual immorality being turned into ENTERTAINMENT!!!

Things were so bad back in Noah’s day that God even repented of making mankind on earth. We cannot imagine the anguish of our loving Heavenly Father when He looked down upon the earth and saw no one (except Noah & his family) living a Godly life, and I would imagine His heart is saddened by what is going on in the world today.

Genesis 6:5-6 KJV

5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

So now that we have established why there was a flood in Noah’s time, let’s move on to the flood that will take place in the end times, the very times we are living in right now. The flood of the end times is not a physical flood, but a spiritual flood. We are building up to this flood right now with all the false doctrine that is being preached in churches today. The flood of the end times is a flood of lies, the lies Satan (the antichrist, the son of perdition) will use to get the whole world to whore after him.

Revelation 12:9 KJV

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Why will the whole world be deceived? Because Satan (antichrist) will be here on earth pretending that he is God.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 KJV

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Satan will be here at the 6th trump with his fallen angels, and he will deceive the whole world into believing that he is Christ. The only ones who won’t fall for his flood of lies are God’s elect, those who know the false Christ comes first. They know the true Christ does not return until the 7th trump.

1 Corinthians 15:50-52 KJV

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Did you notice what it said in verse 52? It said at the LAST trump, the furthest one out, that is the 7th trump. Christ will return at the 7th trump. Satan comes at the 6th trump. Most churches today teach that Christ comes first to “rapture” Christians out of here, but that is part of the flood of lies that Satan wants everyone believing. That is why the whole world will be deceived. They are looking for Christ to come first instead of Satan, and it does not say that anywhere in God’s word. So what will happen when Christ returns at the 7th trump? We will all be changed into our incorruptible bodies, that is our spiritual bodies. We have 2 bodies, the flesh body, and the spirit body. When we put on the incorruptible, we are no longer in our flesh body.

1 Corinthians 15:40 KJV

40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

The celestial body is your spiritual body, and the terrestrial body is your flesh body. Paul is telling you in this verse that within what you call “self”, you have two bodies, an earthly body that will die off and return to the elements that it is made of, and a heavenly body or soul that at the death of the earthly body returns to the heavenly realm or dimension that it came from. Each of the bodies have their own glory or dignity and honor.

Jesus tells his disciples in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 exactly what to expect before His return.

Matthew 24:1-2

1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

The disciples were pointing out how magnificent the buildings were, and Jesus is letting them know that when He returns, there won’t be one stone left standing there. All these stones, every last one of them will be turned to dust! God tells us in Zechariah 14 exactly what this will be like on the day the our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ returns.

Matthew 24:3-5

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

The disciples are asking Jesus what to expect before Christ returns, what signs to watch for so they know when His return is near. The first thing Christ warns them of is that there will be people who come along and try to deceive followers of Christ. Satan was a scripture lawyer, and knew scripture very well, but he would always twist it just a little at the end trying to deceive. There are many pastors and preachers doing this very same thing today by teaching false doctrine, part of the flood of lies in the end time. Very rarely will you find a church that teaches the true word of God chapter by chapter, verse by verse. In this chapter Jesus will be laying out for you the 7 events/7 seals that we all need to be watching for. So what can you do to keep yourself from being deceived? You need to get into the word yourself, trust in no man. There is no way to know what the word really says or means unless you get into the word of God on your own. Make sure you are also looking in the Strong’s Concordance so you can look up the original Greek and Hebrew to help you understand God’s word better.

Matthew 24:6-8

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Throughout history there have been many wars, but the last 100 years there have been wars literally all over the world. Now with new technology you don’t even have to send troops to a country to attack. It can be done at the push of a button. There have also been rumors of wars, lies about things that never happened, and false flag events created to stir up the people. There have been more earthquakes and disease than there ever was before. The word sorrows here means birth pangs. The word is used only here and in Mark 8, and marks the beginning of the travail of childbirth. The number in Strong’s Dictionary is 5604, and this is important, because it reflects the intervals between the events of the signs of the end times. It’s just like a woman in labor. The closer she gets to delivering the child, the closer together the labor pains or contractions get. The closer we get to Christ’s return, the closer together the events that take place before His return happen.

Matthew 24:9-14

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Because you will know that the Antichrist, Satan, is not Christ, and you will be siding with God, and the two witnesses, your family, friends, ect. will deliver you up to death. Death is one of Satan’s names (Hebrews 2:14) and you will be delivered up to him to be a testimony for Christ (Mark 13:9). They won’t be killing anyone at this time. You wouldn’t be able to speak against Satan and for Christ if you are killed. You will be browbeaten at this time because everyone in the world is deceived into believing that Satan is Christ, and they hate you because you speak against him. Satan also won’t be killing anyone because he is trying to be like Christ. No one would believe he is Christ if he was going around slaying people.

Luke 21:12-18

12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.

13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:

15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.

17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.

18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

Notice what it said in Luke 21:18….”But there shall not an hair of your head perish.” God always protects His own. This is the destiny of God’s elect. During this time that they are delivered up, the Holy Spirit will speak through them. This is when the TRUE word of God will be spoken. Most churches today are teaching traditions of men that make void the word of God. They teach you that you don’t need to know the book of revelation because you will be flying out of here in the “rapture.” They don’t tell you what actually happened in the garden of Eden. They just let everyone believe that Eve ate an apple and that was the sin. They celebrate and teach pagan holidays instead of God’s Holy days. The preachers teaching these things are false prophets. Many think that through satellites and internet that the word has been preached all over the world, but it hasn’t because it has not been the true word of God. When the Saints are delivered up and the Holy Spirit speaks through them like it spoke through the apostles on Pentecost, everyone in every nation will understand what they say in their own language down to the very dialect. This is when they will know the TRUE word of God. Even the gainsayers will believe.

Matthew 24:15-18

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

Verse 15 is speaking about Daniel 9:27. The “abomination” is when Satan stands in Jerusalem, and proclaims that he is God, and the world believes it.

Daniel 9:27

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The “desolation” is an incorrect translation into the English, which should read “desolator”, and Satan is the desolator that will make the claim that he is God, the true Christ. “Desolation” is a condition, in the Hebrew manuscripts it is written, “On the wings of the desolator,” this is not a condition, but a entity, a person. It is through this individual, Satan that the abomination shall come from. It is the desolator, Satan that shall cause all but the sealed of God, to become desolate, or deceived.

Jesus then tells the disciples that when Satan, the Antichrist is here that you should flee to the mountains. Satan only has a short time here, and Jesus lets them know that when Satan is here pretending to be Christ that you won’t have to worry about packing anything or taking anything with you.

Matthew 24:19-22

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

It’s not talking about those who actually have children or are nursing children during Satan’s reign as Antichrist in verse 19. This woe is for those who are spiritually in bed with Satan, that is, they are no longer spiritual virgins for Christ because they are whoring after Antichrist and nursing along his works. They have left their first husband (Christ) and they are worshiping Satan because they believe him to be Christ.

Praying that your flight is not in the winter means that you don’t want to be harvested in the winter, or out of season. It is important for you to know the season that Christ will return. No one knows the day or the hour, but we should all know the season which is why Jesus gave us these signs to look for.

There are 2 tribulations, and this one that is spoken of is the tribulation of Satan, the one who will deceive the whole world, and it will be a great tribulation! The book of Joel tells us what will take place during this tribulation. This tribulation of Satan has been shortened for the sake of the elect, and we know by reading Revelation 9:5 & 9:10 that this time was shortened to a 5 month period.

Revelation 9:5

5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

Revelation 9:10

10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

This also relates to the flood in Noah’s time as it was 5 months as well:

Genesis 8:3

3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.

Matthew 24:24-28

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Satan is a supernatural being, and because of this he will be able to perform miracles. This is how he will be able to deceive so many.

Revelation 13:13

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

Because everyone will be deceived and believe he is Christ, they will be saying, “he is here.” We pointed out earlier in this teaching what will happen when Christ returns at the last trump. You will be in your spiritual body, so as long as you are in your flesh body still, know that the true Christ has not returned. When Christ truly returns, EVERYONE will know it, and it will happen very quickly just like a strike of lightening.

Eagles in verse 28 should actually be translated to vultures, and what do vultures do? They are scavengers, they prey on the dead. This verse is speaking of those that are spiritually dead, and these vultures, Satan’s vultures will be feeding on the spiritually dead.

Our Heavenly Father told us to keep 3 feasts unto Him each year. Exodus 23:14-16, “14 Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year. 15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:) 16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.” One of these feasts is Pentecost. Pentecost means “fiftieth” in the Greek, it is celebrated each year 50 days after Passover. Pentecost, or fifty in biblical numerics stands for first fruits. The first fruits spoken of in the old testament, before Christ died on the cross for our sins was an offering of the first part of the grain harvest that was given to the priests. The first fruits in this generation are God’s election.

Leviticus 23:15-16, “15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord.”

As we know now, we don’t have to offer up blood sacrifices anymore. Christ became our Passover lamb, and our first fruit when He died on the cross for us. These feasts have not been done away with though, lets look at what happened on Pentecost day in the new testament.

Acts 2:1-12, “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? 9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, 10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. 12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?”

pentecost1

So what happened to the apostles on Pentecost? They were filled with the Holy Spirit. What does this mean? They spoke in a cloven tongue, meaning a language that went out in all directions. Notice how verse 5 tells us that there were people there from every nation under heaven, and then the next few verses go on to tell us examples of the different nations that were there. When the apostles began to speak and the Holy Spirit descended upon them, everyone that was there of all those different nations heard the apostles speaking in THEIR OWN NATIVE TONGUE. The Holy Spirit tongue talking you hear about in pentecostal and charismatic churches today is not at all what happened here on Pentecost day. It is a made up tradition of man that makes void the word of God. There is nothing in the bible that backs up what these people are doing in churches today. God is not the author of confusion, and the babbling that goes on in these type of churches where people are rolling all over the floor, running up and down the aisles, falling over, ect. is NOT of God!!!!! I know this may offend some, but you know who it really offends? Our Heavenly Father. Jesus did not roll around babbling, the apostles did not do it, and neither should you! The word tongue means language. If you have the gift of tongues, like Paul did, it means you can speak and understand many languages, like Spanish, Greek, Japanese, German, ect. An unknown tongue would be a language that you do not know. If you went to another country such as China, and you didn’t understand their language, it would be unknown to you therefore you would need a translator.  When the Holy Spirit spoke through the apostles, it was heard by each and every person there in their own native language, even down to the exact dialect from where they were from. Meaning if you were from the south, and you were there, you would have heard them speak it with a southern accent. So what was the purpose of the Holy Spirit coming upon the apostles on this day? Father knew that there would be people gathered there from many nations, and when this happened to the apostles, the people of the different nations heard the true word of God spoken, and 3,000 people were converted and followed Christ!!!! Acts 2:16-47, “16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come: 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. 22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: 23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. 25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: 26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: 27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. 29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. 30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. 34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool. 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. 42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

This same thing is going to happen in these last days when God’s elect are delivered up to death (Satan) when he is here as Antichrist. Mark 13:9-11, “9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. 10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations. 11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.”

Luke 21:12-18, “12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. 13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony. 14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. 16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. 17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. 18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.”

When it says you will be beaten, this is in a spiritual sense. You need to remember when Satan is here, he is pretending to be Christ, therefore he wants to seem loving and peaceful, that is why so many will be deceived. Basically you will be brow beaten because people will be calling you names. They will tell you that since you don’t believe in “Christ” (the false Christ) that you are evil, and will call you dirty names. Always remember though, you are being delivered up for Christ’s sake! You will be a witness and give a testimony for Him!

In Luke 21:15 it says “I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.” That means that those who have been standing against God’s word will believe what you say and be convinced! The antichrist (Satan) is going to be here to deceive the whole world, but you will not find him tempting because he will be an abomination to you! In verse 10 it says that Christ cannot come until the gospel has been preached to the whole world. Most people think this has been accomplished since we have satellites and internet, but it has not been the true word of God that has been preached. When you turn on the television or radio all you hear is a short sermon based on one scripture from a watered down version of the bible, and the majority of the time the preachers are begging you for money. Trying to convince you that your salvation is based upon your tithe to them, while they line their pockets. The true word of God is hard to find in churches today, and people have not been taught chapter by chapter and verse by verse. They have been taught men’s traditions, and most don’t even open their bibles. Most don’t know what truly happens during the end times because their pastors have taught them they will fly away in the rapture, and that they don’t need to know about the book of revelation. This is a false doctrine, there is no rapture, and Christ tells us in Matthew 24 that those who endure to the end shall be saved! So the true word will be taught when God’s elect are delivered up to Satan and the Holy Spirit, cloven tongue is poured out upon them. Everyone in every nation will hear it in their own language just like they did when the apostles spoke on Pentecost day.

Hollywood’s version of what happened on Pentecost day:

Excerpt from Smith’s Bible Dictionary on Pentecost

PENTECOST
Pentecost – that is, the fiftieth day (from a Greek word meaning fiftieth), or Harvest Feast, or Feast of Weeks, may be regarded as a supplement to the Passover. It lasted for but one day. From the sixteenth of Nisan seven weeks were reckoned inclusively, and the next or fiftieth day was the day of Pentecost, which fell on the sixth of Sivan (about the end of May). Ex 23:16; 34:22; Lev 23:15,22; Num 28:1.

The Pentecost was the Jewish (Hebrew) harvest-home, and the people were especially exhorted to rejoice before YHVH with their families their servants, the Levite within their gates, the stranger, the fatherless and the widow in the place chosen by God for his name, as they brought a free-will offering of their hand to YHVH their God. Deut 16:10,11. The great feature of the celebration was the presentation of the two loaves made from the first-fruits of the wheat harvest. With the loaves two lambs were offered as a peace offering and all were waved before YHVH and given to the priests; the leaves being leavened, could not be offered on the altar.

The other sacrifices were, a burnt offering of a young bullock, two, rams and seven lambs with a meat and drink offering, and a kid for a sin offering. Lev 23:18,19. Till the pentecostal leaves were offered, the produce of the harvest might not be eaten, nor could any other firstfruits be offered. The whole ceremony was the completion of that dedication of the harvest to God as its giver, and to whom both the land and the people were holy, which was begun by the offering of the wave-sheaf at the Passover. The interval is still regarded as a religious season. The Pentecost is the only one of the three great feasts which is not mentioned as the memorial of events in the history of the Jews (Hebrews); but such a significance has been found in the fact that the law was given from Sinai on the fiftieth day after the deliverance from Egypt.

Comp. Ex 12 and 19. In the exodus the people were offered to God as living first fruits; at Sinai their consecration to him as a nation was completed. The typical significance of the Pentecost is made clear from the events of the day recorded in the Acts of the Apostles. Acts 2. Just as the appearance of God on Sinai was the birthday of the Jewish (Hebrew) nation, so was the Pentecost the birthday of the Christian Church.

All the verses mentioned in the above explanation:

Ex 23:16
16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

Ex 34:22
22 And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year’s end.

Lev 23:15
15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:

Lev 23:22
22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the Lord your God.

Num 28:1  (whole chapter recommended)
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savour unto me, shall ye observe to offer unto me in their due season.

Deut 16:10-11
10 And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the Lord thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the Lord thy God, according as the Lord thy God hath blessed thee:
11 And thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the Lord thy God hath chosen to place his name there.

Lev 23:18-19
18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the Lord, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the Lord.
19 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.

Ex 12:1-2
1And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

Ex 19:1
1 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

Acts 2
2 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
