“Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.” – Ezekiel 3:17 KJV

Volcanoes are often triggered or accompanied by earthquakes, which are directly mentioned in Bible prophecy. Jesus Christ included earthquakes when He was speaking to His disciples in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 concerning things that were to happen prior to His second advent.

Matthew 24:7-8, “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

Mark 13:8, “ For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.”

Luke 21:11, “And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.”

The word sorrows means labor pains (Strong’s G5604). As you know, the closer you get to delivering a baby, the closer together the labor pains get. The same thing applies to the end times. The closer we get to the return of Christ, the closer together the signs of His coming are.

Paul also speaks of this in 1 Thessalonians 5 when speaking about the return of Christ:

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6, “But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.”

As watchmen, when Christ returns, He won’t be coming like a thief. That’s because those with eyes to see and ears to hear know that the false christ, Satan, comes first at the 6th trump, 6th seal, and 6th vial (666). Christ does not return until the last trump, or the 7th trump. 1 Corinthians 15:52, “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” Most will be worshiping Satan when he is here at the 6th trump which is why it will be like a thief coming in the night when Christ returns at the 7th. A true watchmen will see these signs that are happening around the world right now such as the earthquakes, volcanoes, “false” wars, ect. and know that these things are warnings from God. Over the past few decades there have been more and more earthquakes and other signs taking place in the world showing that those labor pains are getting closer together. God has foretold us all things (Mark 13:23), and therefore we know by studying His word, and watching the signs in the earth the season of the return of Christ. That’s why it is important that you study His word DAILY and watch for these signs.
